I was very happy with the bespoke casement window they installed in my property. The company also agreed to repair it promptly after a number of years. London box sash install high quality timber windows and seem to care about their customers.

Needed a couple of old aluminium windows replaced with box sashes. Found recommendation for London Box Sash Windows Ltdon Which? Trusted Traders website (where they came top for our local area with over one hundred 5* reviews). Three days after the first phone contact, Jake came to our house to quote for the job. He took his time to take us through the various product options and even brought a sample sash window to demonstrate those options (all without any of the often quite annoying hard selling tactics). The quote price wasn’t cheap but within our expectations, and therefore we decided to go ahead with this company. We were given the option to either go for a scheduled installation date 10 to 12 weeks into the future or to go on a stand-by list. We opted for stand-by and a week later Harry (installation manager) visited to take the exact measurements for the window production and to reconfirm all the chosen options. About 2 weeks later, we were given an installation date.The actual installation was done by Andy over 2 days (1 day per window). On both days he started work at 7.30am, properly preparing the room with dust sheets and covering all carpets, before even touching his tools. He worked both days non stop until about 4pm. Andy was very pleasant to have in the house. He took the time to explain the details of the installation and patiently answered all of our many questions.The best, however, was the finished product. 2 gorgeous wooden box sash windows that are perfectly balanced, so that you can actually lift the solid and quite heavy sashes with just one finger!I wish that we had used London Box Sash Windows Ltdfor the replacement sash windows at the front of our house, a job which we had done about 6 years ago. Although those were of good quality, they are nowhere close to the ones that we had done just now.Without hesitation, I will recommend London Box Sash Windows Ltd to friends and neighbours and only keep quiet about this great company to the people I don’t like …

London Box Sash Windows just completed the installation of our new, double glazed windows across our mid-terraced Victorian house. We couldn’t be happier with the experience, from start to finish. Jake took a lot of time during the initial consultation, explaining the options available and impact on costs. We had four quotes in the end, roughly in the same price range and decided to go with LBSW due to their professionalism and responsiveness. Harry did the technical inspection pre-installation and Judith kept us updated throughout the process.At the scheduled day of installation, Audris arrived punctually (on the minute!) and his and David’s work was spotless. They both worked extremely hard, precise and left every room they worked in tidy (we didn’t have to do any cleaning ourselves!). Within a week, all our windows were done, in line with the promised timeline. We could really trust the team and go about our lives and just leave them with a key, which is a great feeling. Also, there was much less redecoration needed than we feared, thanks to the team’s careful way of working.Choosing a firm to work with for new windows was a big decision for us, and I can only recommend LSBW. Our house is much warmer, quieter and with no more annoying draughts, we don’t regret the investment for a second.

For some time we have been working towards replacing some sash windows in our large mid-Victorian semi-detached house so as to reduce draft, make some rooms warmer, make window opening easier and hopefully safe some energy cost (although we knew that the payback time against energy cost is long). We had visits from several companies identified with flyers through the door, internet searching and personal recommendation, the latter being for London Box Sash Windows (LBS). It was clear from the start that LBS offered a more personalised service and listened more carefully to what we actually wanted. They were the only company to offer sash-only replacement (as against the whole window and frame) and were the only company to point out that full frame replacement would cause problems with windows where the window frame was integrated with shutters and a plaster cornice.All the pre-installation contact was great, with a very detailed on-site discussion of what was wanted, and the different options. LBS helped us create two windows with reproduction Victorian coloured and frosted glass which look fantastic (see attached photo). A very detailed specification and estimate was sent for checking and acceptance, and then a second survey by the fitting expert to iron out the last few potential glitches.The two fitters were brilliant, changing 8 windows in 4 days, arriving promptly for a 7.30am start, and meticulously clearing up dust and rubbish to leave the house in a very good state each day. They worked with minimal noise and fuss and were receptive to the large number of checks and queries that always crop up during a large job in your own home. They were not the least put out when our plumber turned up a day earlier than expected to refit some radiators. On the final evening we immediately noticed the reduction in noise and draught, and the increased warmth.We would not hesitate to use LBS again and to recommend them to others. High quality full replacement of sash windows is not cheap, but we feel that we have installed an excellent product that has greatly enhanced the comfort of our home, that will last for many years, and that has increased its eventual sale value.

I used London Box Sash Windows for two separate installations over the last year and I have nothing but praise for the company. From the initial contact, through the estimating to the final installations, the people I dealt with were polite, informative, helpful, punctual and hard working. We had a mix of sash and casement windows fitted and the product is absolutely top notch. We had some issues with our builder making new openings for the windows but the advice and flexibility with the fitting dates given by LBSW made the process and the overall look of the windows superb. I’ve used a few tradespeople over the last few years and LBSW are by far the most professional and committed. A company based on wonderful craftsmanship and customer service!

Phenomenal windows and service.We chose to use London Box Sash Windows following a recommendation and couldn’t be happier.The entire process from start to finish was absolutely seamless, from the initial survey, selecting designs that replicated our existing Victorian windows like for like, to the fitting and end result.We were astonished not only by the brilliant quality of the new windows (upgrading from original frames and glass means that the property is now silent, cooler and undoubtedly warmer come winter) but the speed the fitting team worked at and their attention to detail.

Excellent quality and service. Having originally wanted one replacement sash window, we were so impressed with the quality of the one we ordered, we went on to order four more. The build quality , insulation and acoustic properties are excellent, and the style fits perfectly into our early Edwardian house. The service was always courteous, communication precise and regular, and the fitting itself carried out with great care and consideration. We are delighted with the windows, which have made a huge difference to our previously draughty home.

London Box Sash our first choice having consulted widely. We were pleased with the quality of the demo window shown and were able to visit a reference customer not far away. Had the windows fitted over 5 years ago – I called to report 1 of the 16 windows had some condensation between the panes of double glazing. No quibble – they ordered a new window taken from their record and replaced it. The engineer arrived as scheduled – completed the job within 2 hours with no mess. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!From the first day I met Jake for a quote I knew this was the company I was looking for. Professionalism, patience, competence, passion were all there in front of me and I had no doubt I could trust their work.Then came Harry with his obsession to details in taking measurement in a pretty old house which can be very complex and challenging due to the old and not very even structure.And then the work itself done by my 2 rockstars! Audrius and David have been amazing in fitting the windows; extremely precise, always caring about what I felt or thought about the ongoing works, very clean as well! I was expecting lots of dust and damages to the walls but not at all! Only minor spots here and there which are absolutely normal when carrying out these types of jobs.They also cleaned perfectly the windows after the work was completed, the floors and communal stairs and Audrius even went to my neighbours downstairs to make sure no rubbish fell in their property and if so, he made sure to clean properly before leaving.I couldn’t recommend this company more; my experience has been way over my expectations and I’m so glad there are still companies like this one out there.If you are looking for replacing your sash windows look no further; you know who to talk to!(I’m based in Streatham Common, just come and look around; The best ones you’ll see are mine! ;-)Outstanding experience, thank you!Annalisa

We have used London Box Sash three times and they just do such a great job. The quality of the manufacture, the fit of the windows both in the brickwork and the making good afterwards as well as the sashes in the frames is just top notch. The sashes move so smoothly and seal so well – our flat is just very warm and quiet now. The guys who performed the installation are strong to be able to lift the massive heavy units into position but at the same time they have the finesse to do things to a very high degree of precision to give a top finish (eg the painting and the fitting of the ironmongery). In addition they look after your home and are very polite and considerate. They are not cheap but work to a very high standard and at speed and are worth every penny. Highly recommended.

I still can’t get over how good these guys were. They somehow managed to change most of the windows in our house in 4 days – way shorter than I thought it would take. The quality of the work is superb – they make the house look spectacular. I expected follow up work to be needed but the patching up they do around the windows makes it look almost as if the were never there. And the team itself was great – so considerate of our house, incredibly polite, and explained everything they were doing. New windows aren’t something we’ll need for many more years but I’ll definitely be a return customer when we do. Thank you!

We are in the process of ‘future-proofing’ our home – let’s face it, with the rising cost of utilities, this is fast becoming a priority. We live in an old Victorian house with large, single-glazed, sash windows, several of which needed replacing, but deciding what with, was always going to be tricky; plastic windows would obviously be cheaper, but wouldn’t be in keeping with the house and so we looked around at who was making wood sash windows. There is no doubt that this is an expensive route to take, but given how long they last once they’re in, to not do it right first time seemed a false economy. We have so far replaced two windows with TBSW company and you really do get what you pay for; from the start and our first contact with them, we felt confident that we were dealing with people who knew what they were talking about, cared about what they did and were hugely positive about their product and justifiably – the windows are superb. Large, double glazed units that immediately cut the heat loss and sound from the outside and because of the perfectly balanced weights, can be raised and lowered with finger-tip control. The finish is beautiful and totally in keeping with the house. The care and precision with which their fitters worked – the place was spotless when they left – belies the amount of work involved and all the work is guaranteed. It has been a pleasure dealing with them.

I have nothing but praise for this company. A bay window, 4 single sash windows, two casement windows, and two sets of french doors – all installed without fuss and to my complete satisfaction in 3 days!Each person I have had contact with are so impressive: – Jake with his fabulous sample window; Judith who handles all the admin efficiently, smoothly and helpfully ; Harry who is clearly a highly professional surveyor as the windows are a perfect fit; and especially Anjelo and Rafal – the installers who work so hard but with such professionalism and expertise.The quality and standard of the windows and doors and the installation are beyond my hopes and expectations. Also, when I said I wanted to pay by credit card they made that possible despite it not being on offer initially. Top notch company with a great product. Highly recommended.

We had exceptional service from this company right from the beginning with the quote from Jake, who was very knowledgeable and personable and could not have been more helpful. The windows look lovely – we have waited a long time for the right product to come along as we didn’t want to ruin the look of our Victorian house by installing windows that scream “double glazing”. Well these don’t and if anything we think that they enhance the exterior. The installers deserve a special mention, incredibly hard working, tidy and friendly and their workmanship was exceptional; we have only the odd bit of very minimal tidying up to do and you have to look hard to see where it is needed. They managed to get a large bathroom window replaced without so much as a tiny crack to the surrounding fragile crackle glazed tiles, something I’m not sure even they thought they would be able to do. I can’t recommend this company highly enough and thanks a million to the neighbour of mine who recommended them to me. Please don’t change or be tempted to cut any corners because your service and product are both fantastic exactly the way they are.

‘London Box Sash Windows Ltd.’ clearly stood out as the obvious choice out of a number of other candidate companies for the replacement of three single glazed sash windows with new double glazed ones, in a four storey Georgian property within the London East Canonbury conservation area, in terms of the high quality of materials used, the great safety design features employed, the excellent guarantees offered and their very competitive pricing. This is the third time we have used London Box Sash Windows and are very happy with the Company.We moved into a new flat in September and had a cold winter as the previous French doors were over a 100 years old, single glazed and poorly insulated.The new French doors installed by London Box Sash Windows have transformed our dining room in many ways. The design was made to match the Victorian character of the house and the new French doors are beautiful, they have really enhanced the room. We have instantly notice a huge improvement in soundproofing. We can’t hear any noise at all when the doors are closed. We feel a lot safer, the doors are robust whereas the previous one was quite fragile and we used to worry about people breaking in. We haven’t tested the impact on heating and energy consumption yet as it is the summer now, but we can no longer feel the draft that was previously coming through the old French doors, so we think we will be a lot warmer this winter. So, yes, very happy with the quality of our new French doors and also very happy with the team at London Box Sash Windows. They are very friendly, respectful, reliable, came on time, left the flat spotless and were wearing masks. We recommend London Box Sash Windows 100%!

I recently had a brand new sash window installed. Other companies said the work could not be carried out without removing a large cupboard near the window. I did not want to do this, and as a result they turned the job down. London Box Sash on the other hand had a can do attitude, took on the work and did a superb, high quality and tidy job from start to finish. Highly recommend.

I was impressed by the incredibly flexible and personalised service. Not only am I delighted with the quality and look of the finished windows, the fitting was pain free. The fitter was very experienced and meticulous in his work and in cleaning up etc. Would not hesitate to recommend.

As the guys were working on our bay windows downstairs I sat in my bedroom on a work call. I could not stop staring at our new replacement window which had been installed the previous day, and I mailed Judith to tell her that. It’s such a difference, even setting aside any notion of resale value. The benefit to the look of the property inside and out is immediate. Other benefits like energy efficiency, noise reduction, and lack of condensation seem like icing on the cake. It’s as though I feel more at home just standing in a room and looking out. The guys are very considerate and do a great job keeping the mess under control. The service is not cheap, but it’s very good value. I feel good having spent the money. I intend to engage them again for plantation shutters, which I’m told they can do on their installed windows without needing to measure up.
